i actually got this movie thinking it was the story line of kickboxer 1..but i still remember the famous scene where hes tied up to some trees and is doing the splits and breaks it...this is really a great capture in film history as a testament to the classic story of a white martial artist who wants to become the best fighter of their time.
cue the predictable story line, comedy side kick, the female love interest that is no good for the character but falls for her anyway, the cheating badie who cripples side kick and the good guys who want to stop said protagonist from fighting...
over all a 6/10 - for being really cheesy with over the top flash backs, montages and 80's power balads...also note bolo yeung as the bad guy (you may not know the name but as soon as you see him your like oh yeah that big muscley asian dude)
oh yeh and this movie is based on a true story/person name frank dux
