The Bourne Identity - Jo

After some hooha with Arn and a mate, he (and then I) decided to try watching the Bourne movies again, especially since the 3rd installment 'The Bourne Ultimatum' is soon coming out. Also due to the fact that he and his mate were debating about which films were better; the Bourne flicks, or the latest 007 (Casino Royale)...
Anyways... To the review...
I re-watched the Bourne Identity last night. It was good, I liked it.
As we all know, it's about a guy who is found passed out and shot in the back twice in coastal waters, and is rescued by some seamen. When he comes to, he realised that he doesn't remember much, he has amnesia. Then starts the fun, trying to retrace his steps of who he is, with a little help from a chick he met randomly to give him a lift from Zurich to Paris. (for $20k, hell yeah!)
There was enough suspense and interest to keep me entertained from beginning to end. I remember the majority of the film from previous viewings, yet watching it again (after so long) was still enjoyable. It's not so 'hollywood' and it's not full of useless and unrealistic action scenes. It was fun watching the main character feel lost in his surroundings and being amazed at hiscapabilities and knowledge at his assassin skills, which he has no memory of.
The acting wasn't brilliant and the movie wasn't edge of your seat material, but it's still a good watch...
I also respected it more when I saw who the director was, a Doug Liman, who has done smaller type films such as 'Go', 'Swingers' and 'Run Lola Run'. So as a bigger movie for him, he did well.

7/10

- I am looking forward to watching the Bourne Supremacy again. Think i've only seen that once before so be interesting to see the follow up, and there's another director.
