ok even though this was written by both stallone and james cameron (yes titanic and t2 director) this film plays out exactly like the last few years of sly's career. big over the top action flicks that show more style than substance. this is really the birth of what people know what rambo is and has become and parodied very accurately in hot shots part deux. the story takes place in vietnam where rambo has been called in to do some reconnaissance about captured american POW's. for what ever reason he accepts and is of course hung out to dry and has to kill his way out. i really wish there was special features on this disc so i could see the reasoning behind why cameron attached himself to this very hollywood picture...maybe he wanted to see what it was working with sly?? and compare him to arnie??
6/10 mildly entertaining action flick that gets a extra point coz cameron worked on it
